Trip to Lake Inari
Lake Inari is a 60 kilometer wide and 100-kilometer long scenic and rugged lake. Its average depth is 14 meters, and the deepest measured position is 95 meters. It is located in Vasikkaseljja, north of Lake Inari. The lake has over 3,000 islands.
Excursion details: The boat tour starts from Nellim fishing harbor and continues through scenic straits and fjords all the way to Kultalahti. Paavo von Pandy a Hungarian-Finnish Colonel and his family lived there. He was one of the first people to start tourism in the Nellim region. Our way back to Nellim goes via Satapetäjäseljä and Lusmanuora. During the trip, you will get comprehensive information about the lake and the great history and culture of its inhabitants, from a native Nellim guide.
