Rental Terms & Conditions

The following booking and cancellation terms apply to accommodations, equipment rentals, boat rentals, leisure activities, and transportation services.

1. Rental Period

The rental period commences at 12:00 (noon) on the agreed arrival date and concludes at 12:00 (noon) on the agreed departure date.

2. Payment Terms

• The total rental amount is payable in full at the time of booking.
• Payment must be made by the due date indicated on the invoice.
• For bookings made less than 21 days prior to the start date, payment is required immediately.
• Failure to pay the invoice by the due date does not constitute a valid cancellation.

3. Cancellation Policy

The following cancellation fees apply:

• 30 days or more before arrival: No cancellation fee.
• 21 days before arrival: 25% of the rental amount will be charged.
• 14 days before arrival: 50% of the rental amount will be charged.
• 7 days before arrival: 75% of the rental amount will be charged.
• Within 7 days of arrival: No refund will be issued.

Please note: Weather conditions do not entitle the customer to a refund for accommodation bookings. However, if weather conditions make it unsafe to travel on Lake Inari, the above cancellation policy may be applied to boat rentals or transport services in order to ensure customer safety.

Cancellations due to illness or accident must be supported by a valid medical certificate, which must be submitted within 14 days of the cancellation date.

4. Customer Responsibilities

• The customer is responsible for the proper care and maintenance of the rented property during the rental period.
• The property must be returned in the agreed condition.
• Any damages must be reported to the lessor immediately.
• The customer is liable for all damages caused by their actions or negligence.

5. Other Provisions

• The lessor reserves the right to cancel the booking in the event of force majeure. In such cases, all payments made will be refunded in full.
• In the event of lost keys, the customer will be charged for the full cost of rekeying the locks.
