Fishing with nets is traditional way of fishing on Lake Inari, both in summer and winter.
Most usual catches are whitefish, char, trout and grayling. Shawls can be quite good, depending on the season and generosity of water god Ahti.
Trip starts with a presentation of fishing with nets and continues to fishing spots by boat M/S Nellim.
We are checking the nets and longlines that has been set the previous night.
For lunch we eat the caught fish that has been “loimutettu” or smoked and enjoy them in the traditional way by the lake in a sheltered bay or hut. For dessert we enjoy the delicious campfire coffee.
In the afternoon we continue fishing with fishing reel and aim to catch some nice grayling and trout.
